There’s a magical thing about clouds that can take you away from the stress of everyday life. Looking at the clouds and using your imagination to find different shapes can be relaxing. Maybe it’s an animal (like a dog, bird, or dinosaur), a human, or an everyday object. There’s a good chance that you will see something totally different than the next person.

While I was working on this drawing the big cloud looked very much like a figure with a funny face, almost like an alien. I was worried that when people saw the drawing that’s all they would see. I made some modifications, but I can still see that figure. However, when I asked my family, they each saw something very different. I got answers like a dragon and a duck. None of them could see the shape I was concerned about, even when I pointed it out.

It made me realize how cool it is that the shapes clouds make in the sky can be interpreted in so many different ways, depending on the viewer. What do you see in these clouds? Imagine coming home from a busy day and having this joyful piece welcome you as you walk in the door. “October Sunrise” is great for a foyer, a book shelf, or a home with limited wall space.
