Looking through scrapbooks from when my kids were young and reading the stories behind them brought back a lot of fun memories that I had totally forgotten about.

Do you notice how the memories of everyday moments seem to fade as time goes by? Think back to times like: seeing the cute expression on your pet’s face, watching your kids playing together, learning a new sport, reading a favourite book, or seeing a beautiful sunrise. 

In the moment, these things may not seem like much, but they aren’t to be taken for granted. 

Reminiscing about the cute photos and stories inspired me to start creating drawings of my kids when they were little. These drawings now serve the same memory preserving purpose as scrapbooks, and are displayed on the wall to enjoy everyday. No need to open a book (or look on a phone.)

Preserving our memories and stories and celebrating loved ones (2 legged or 4 legged) provides such value to our lives. As a mom and an animal lover, I know that pets aren’t just another part of the family. They are loyal friends, exercise partners, keepers of secrets, and they deserve to be celebrated.
