Sand Save

This coloured pencil drawing captures the pure joy of a young golfer hitting out of a sand bunker. Most golfers aren’t happy if their shot lands in a sand trap. But when you are a two-year-old boy who loves to golf, what better place to hit from than the sand?

“Sand Save” was inspired by my son who has always loved to golf. We spent many hours at the local golf course and driving range, even when he was 2 years old. He thought it was great to hit balls out of the sand and would call it hitting from the “sand pit”. My drawings help capture these everyday moments, turning them into special keepsakes of childhood. Perhaps this drawing can remind you of the fresh outdoor air, the summer sunshine, and time spent outside with your kids or grandkids.

“Sand Save” is perfect for a kids room, a den, or on a sports wall.
